Ayubowan! (may you be blessed with long life). It's a pleasure for me to welcome you by the age- old greeting of our people.
Dear Friends,
I' Patrick Felsinger from Sri Lanka and I'm a disabled person since 1985. I got paralyzed of Meningitis. For my illness I had not been treated properly due to the late diagnosis of the cause. (Medical reports.zip) At early stage I developed bedsores preventing chances of recovering through physiotherapy, which made my situation worse. If there are any comments on this please let me know or else you can sign on my guest book.
Now I am bedridden. I cannot even sit up. I lay on my bed turned downwards and I am able to use only the upper part of my body which gives me a relief to manage my day today work. My parents and family members encourage me and taking care of me, so I am not mentally fallen down. I don't keep idling myself because my upper part of body is quite healthy. I managed to learn Computer which was totally a new subject for me. Now I am able to work on Graphics, Photo editing, and I can be proud about me because I managed to develop this Web site by learning only the basics about computing by myself.
I hope you have enjoyed using my web site, and I would like to hear from you. If you have any comments please sign my guest book.
I'm a talented person in painting from my childhood. My parents & teachers have identified my talents very well and they always encouraged me on this. In 1988 Mrs. S.I. Vitarana of the Buddhist Association at the Tea Research Institute of Thalawakelle in Sri Lanka came to see me. She went through my paintings and understood my talents in Paintings and suggested me to hold an exhibition. She helped me even to get the required materials. That's how I had my first exhibition in 1989 at Tea Research Institute of Thalawakelle, Sri Lanka. Here I wish to extend my heart full gratitude to and thanks to Mrs. S. I.Vitharana and the Buddhist association who helped my first art exhibition become a success. Thereafter I was able to have my second Exhibition too in 1990 at Nuwara Eliya the Hill Country of Sri Lanka.
Wheel Bed.Unfortunately in 1985 I've got paralyzed and since then I'm a disabled person. For my illness I had not been treated properly, I was suffering with bedsores too, which made the situation worse. Now I am bedridden. I cannot even sit up. I lay on my bed turned downwards. My parents and family members are always encouraging me and taking care of me, therefore I am not mentally fallen down.
In 1999 Reverent Father Benat Mallava introduced me to Mr. Maes Luke Mr. Paul Van Hove from Belgium. They came to see me, discussed my needs and they understood that I couldn't even sit up. So they helped me to get a wheel bed. That was a great favor for me which helped me to believe in new hopes of my life. Now I can go out side and move around freely without any hassles. That really changed my life towards to an interesting one. Now I am very happy and I can handle most of the work easily by my parent. Million thanks to Rev Fr: Benat, Mr. Maes Luke and his sister and Mr. Paul Van Hove for helping me to overcome my burdens.
I didn't keep idle my parent since my upper part of body is perfect. I still enjoy my painting. Unless the great help of my family this web site is not a possible task.
Computer.Philip, Diana, and George gave me a Computer, Scanner, and a CD writer. It has been great for me. I created this Web site in that computer. I am faithful to them too.
Thanks in advance.
